AI & AUTOMATION · PERTH · AUSTRALIA-WIDE

Less time on admin. More time on the work that matters.

Simkul Solutions helps Australian small businesses use AI and automation: choosing the right tools, what's worth automating, and how to connect systems that currently don't talk to each other. Perth-based, working with businesses across Australia.

Most small businesses don't have a technology problem. They've got a too-much-technology problem. Five tools that don't talk to each other. Software nobody's been trained on. Automations that half work. We'll tell you what to do about it, including if and how to implement AI.

We're not here to sell you more software, or to hype up AI for the sake of it. We're here to give you a straight answer on the tools you've got, and the ones you actually need, and a clear plan for getting them working properly for your team.

30 minutes. No obligation. We'll tell you if we're not the right fit.

The signs your tools, and your AI, aren't earning their keep.

Technology is supposed to make things easier. When it doesn't, it usually comes down to one of these.

  • "We're paying for software nobody actually uses."

Usually means the tool was chosen and implemented without involving the people who were supposed to use it. The best software in the world fails without training and a reason for people to change how they work.

  • "Our systems don't talk to each other."

Data gets entered manually into two or three places. Things get missed. Things get entered wrong. Someone's spending hours a week doing what a simple integration could do in seconds.

  • "We spend hours on tasks that feel like they should be automatic."

Chasing invoices, sending follow-up emails. Updating the same spreadsheet every Monday. Some of this is plain automation, some of it's AI, and most small businesses haven't had anyone sit down and actually map it out.

  • "Everyone's talking about AI and we don't want to get left behind, but we don't know where it would actually help."

Fair. Most of what's marketed as "AI for your business" is either overkill or irrelevant to a business your size. We'll tell you plainly where it's worth your time and where it isn't.

  • "We tried something new and it made things worse."

A new tool without proper change management almost always makes things worse before it makes them better. And if nobody's there to see it through, it often just makes things worse.

  • "My team is drowning in admin and can't focus on the work that matters"

When skilled people spend their days on repetitive manual tasks, you're paying for capability you're not using. That's a process problem, and it's fixable.

Four things, done properly.

We don't push a platform, and we don't push AI for the sake of it. We look at your business, work out what would genuinely help, and give you a clear, prioritised plan for getting there. If you want us to build it as well as plan it, that's the separate scoped work below.

Technology assessment and selection

PART ONE

Vendor-neutral advice

Before recommending anything, we spend time understanding how your business operates: what you're using now, what's working, what isn't, and where the real gaps are. We're not affiliated with any platform, so our advice is based on what's right for a business your size and budget, not on a referral fee.

Most businesses don't need more tools. They need the right ones, and a clear plan for getting the team on board.

Technology audit, tool rationalisation, platform selection, cost vs value analysis, implementation roadmap

PART TWO

Process automation

What's worth automating, and why

We map the repetitive, rules-based tasks eating your team's week: invoice processing, customer follow-ups, data entry, report generation, appointment reminders, approval workflows. Then we tell you exactly which ones are worth automating, and in what order.

You get a plan built around automations your team can actually understand and maintain, not something complicated that breaks the moment your process changes. Building it out is scoped separately, if that's the path you want.

Process audit, automation opportunity list, priority order, technical brief (for your developer, or ours), expected time saved per task

PART THREE

AI Opportunity review

Where AI helps

Some jobs in your business don't need a fixed rule, they need judgement: drafting a first-pass reply to a customer email, summarising a long document, pulling the gist out of a pile of quotes. That's where AI earns its place.

We work out which of your team's tasks genuinely suit AI, and recommend exactly which tool and how to roll it out safely: what to trust it with, and what to double-check. If AI isn't the answer for a particular problem, and often it isn't, we'll say so.

PART FOUR

System integration

The plan for making your tools talk

If your CRM, accounting software, project management tool, and e-commerce platform are all operating in isolation, with someone manually moving data between them, that's fixable. We map exactly how your systems should connect, what data needs to flow where, and hand you a clear integration plan.

No more double entry. No more version control nightmares. No more "which number's actually right?" Just a clear picture of what needs connecting, and how, whether we build it or your existing IT support does.

System integration audit, data flow map, tool recommendations, integration roadmap

Most Australian small businesses don't need an enterprise platform. They need a clear plan for the tools they've already got, or the ones they actually need, talking to each other properly. That's what we map out.

Want us to build it, not just plan it?

Everything above is the advice and the roadmap: what to change, what to automate, and where AI actually fits. If you want us to also do the hands-on build, setting up a CRM properly and migrating your data, or a bigger AI and automation project, we scope and quote that separately. Ask us on the call.

Is this right for you?

We're upfront about who this works for. AI and automation work best in specific situations. We'd rather you know before the call than after.

  • GOOD FIT

    * Your team is spending significant time on repetitive tasks that feel like they should be automatic

    * You have disconnected systems with data being moved manually between them

    * You're paying for tools that aren't being used properly, or at all

    * You've tried to implement technology before and it didn't stick, because change management was missing

    * You want a straight answer on where AI could actually help, without the hype

    * You want a clear plan for getting your team confident with new tools

  • PROBABLY NOT THE RIGHT FIT

    * You need custom software built from scratch. We advise on and can scope work with existing platforms, we don't write bespoke software

    * You want an enterprise scale IT infrastructure project. We work with small to medium sized businesses.

    * You're not ready to involve your team in the transition. Technology that bypasses the people using it doesn’t stick

    * You want someone to manage your technology for you, ongoing. We build your team's capability, not their dependency on us

What the engagement looks like.

Every engagement is different, but the shape is consistent. We don't recommend anything until we understand what's needed, and nothing gets built until you've decided you want it built.

Discovery: understanding what you've got and what you need (week 1–2)

Number 1 inside a light green circle

We spend time in your business looking at the tools you're using, watching how work flows, and talking to the people doing it every day. We're looking for the real friction points, not just a list of software you've purchased.

Recommendations: what we think you should do and why (week 2–3)

Green circle with the number 2 in black text

We tell you what we found: what's worth keeping, what should go, what's missing, where AI genuinely fits. You get the reasoning behind every recommendation and a clear next step. Nothing happens without your sign-off.

If you want us to build it (scoped separately) Some clients take our plan to their own team or existing IT support. Others want us to do the hands-on build: setting up the agreed platforms and automations, integrating systems, and testing everything before your team's expected to use it. That's the scoped work described earlier, quoted once we know what's actually needed.

Training and handover, if we have done the build

Green circle with the number 3 in black text

This is where most technology projects fall over, and where we stay. We train your team properly, document how everything works, and stay available through the adjustment period. The goal is a team that's confident and self-sufficient, not one that calls us every time something changes.
